サメの水揚げ日本一を誇る宮城県気仙沼の地で昭和32年に創業。老舗ふかひれ専門店として、市場での買い付けから、製造・販売までを手がけられてきました。天皇即位の際の食事にも出されたという、独自の技術による高品質の商品を提供されています。
震災で事務所・工場・倉庫共に全壊。しかし翌年には再建し製造販売を再開。その後は、気仙沼市唐桑半島で採れる完熟牡蠣を使用したオイスターソースやXOソースなどの新商品にも力を入れている。
Ishiwata Shoten was established in 1957 in Kesennuma, Miyagi prefecture. The company has led a long history as a shark fin specialty store, ranging from market purchase to the manufacturing and sales. Its products are known for their refined quality, and have even been presented as a meal to the Emperor upon his accession.
Ishiwata Shoten faced severe damage from the great tsunami in 2011. However, in the following year, it swiftly resumed its production and distribution. Since then, Ishiwata Shoten has been developing new products such as oyster sauce and XO sauce using fully matured oysters from the Karakuwa peninsula of Kesennuma.
